Me & my kitchen

And here it is. The obligatory “about me“.

Well, you already know the basics: I’m Jewish, and I’m gluten-free. Well, I’m not gluten-free, but my food is.

But, for a little more substance:

I’m Tema. I’m a 20-something in Toronto who recently discovered that gluten makes my stomach really, really angry. Like, wrathful, vengeful, beating-me-up-from-the-inside-out angry.

Like most people who have given up gluten, there are many foods that I used to love — still love — that I can’t eat anymore, and that breaks my heart. But then there is that great feeling of hey I don’t feel sick anymore that makes the loss almost bearable. And that is what this blog is about: leaving behind the gluten, and springing forth into a new, healthier, more creative life.

And now, about my kitchen:

*ahem* Suffice it to say, I will post a picture as soon as it is presentable.
